School Readiness

The High Scope Curriculum which Harbor employs is a research based model with over 40 years experience. High Scope is aligned with state standards for pre-school. Harbor prepares children for the school environment.

Infant/Toddler Program - 3 months to 3 years (Full Day)

Harbor Child Care understands the importanceof infant and toddler development. Cognitive, emotional and motor development is enriched in every detail at Harbor Child Care from the professional and nurturing staff to the stimulating environment promoting safe exploration and individual development.

The staff maintains constant communication with the parents to encourage participation and callaboration in our program. Parent Support Groups and education are also provided.

Pre-Kindergarten - 3 to 5 years (Half, Full, Extended Day)

Our Harbor teachers are educated keen observers of the children. We offer a rich, nurturing early childhood program of 3 to 5 years old, which permits each child to develop at his/her own pace through "hands-on" play. Because Harbor's children are respected and valued, they learn to respect and value others.

Harbor's literature rich enviroment promotes a love of reading while encouraging storytelling and inventive writing. Other engaging "hands-on" activities include music, art, movement and imaginary play. Parent, Teacher partnerships are fostered at Harbor by involving parents in the learning process.

In quality child care programs you will see:
